VeChain Foundation (Foundation name: VECHAIN FOUNDATION LIMITED, registered address: 163 Penang Road, #02-03 Winsland House II,238463, Singapore) (hereinafter referred to as "the Foundation") places great attention in the protection of user information. The Foundation may collect and use your personal information when you use VeChainWorld and its related services. The Foundation recommends that you read and understand the full content of this Privacy Policy statement (hereinafter referred to as this "Privacy Policy") carefully before using VeChainWorld. This Privacy Policy may be updated online by the Foundation at any time, and in the event of a major change, the Foundation may send a notice via information or other means to give you an opportunity to review the changes before they become effective.

This Privacy Policy is an integral part of the VeChainWorld User Service Agreement. If you object to this Privacy Policy or any subsequent changes to this Privacy Policy, you should stop using the VeChainWorld and its related services immediately. You agree that your continual use of VeChainWorld and its related services after the Foundation has posted or sent this Privacy Policy or its notice of changes to you means that you agree that the Foundation will collect, use and share your personal data in accordance with this Privacy Policy or the latest Privacy Policy changes.

Unless otherwise agreed, the terms applied to this Privacy Policy shall have the same meanings as those to assigned by the VeChainWorld User Service Agreement. The Foundation's purpose in developing this Privacy Policy is to help you understand the following:

ARTICLE I. INFORMATION COLLECTED BY THE FOUNDATION

1.1 You acknowledge and agree that in order to ensure your normal use of VeChainWorld and the services it provides, the Foundation will strictly abide by the principles of openness, legality, legitimacy and necessity to collect your personal information. The Foundation collects and uses information you provided on your own initiative or arising from your use of the service for the following purposes hereof;

1.1.1 In order to provide you with the VeChainWorld services, the Foundation will collect your following information before provision of the services:

1.1.1.1 When you register for the VeChainWorld services, the Foundation collects your user ID, email address, etc. This information is collected to help you complete your registration with VeChainWorld.

1.1.2 In order to ensure your normal use of VeChainWorld and the services it provides, to maintain the normal operation of the VeChainWorld service, and to optimize and improve our services and protect the safety of your account, the Foundation collects the following information during the service:

1.1.2.1 Log information: When you use the VeChainWorld services provided by the Foundation, the Foundation will automatically collect the details of your use of the services and save it as the relevant operation log, including but not limited to your IP address, date and time of access, and so on;

1.1.2.2 Device Information: The Foundation will collect information about the device you use during the VeChainWorld services, including device model, operating system, unique device identifier, network connection information (IP address, port, network protocol, etc.) and other information;

1.1.2.3 Browse and search for information, behavioral preferences (such as page stay time, page entry preferences and other information about your use of VeChainWorld) will be combined with the information you provide during the service from VeChainWorld and information from other services for synthesized statistics, analysis to form user portraits, and then, to recommend or to display service information that you may be interested in;

1.1.2.4 The Foundation will use the personal information collected in the service for statistical analysis and improvement of products, for example, by using VeChainWorld's preferences for statistical analysis to improve the Foundation's services; and for Troubleshooting, technical transformation to improve VeChainWorld etc.;

1.1.2.5 When you contact the Foundation, the Foundation may save your contact information to contact you or help you solve the problem or to record the solution and results of the related problem.

1.1.3 You understand that in the following circumstances, the Foundation collects and processes your personal information without asking for your consent:

1.1.3.1 When it is directly related to national interests such as national security and national defense;

1.1.3.2 When it is directly related to major public interests such as public safety, public health, and public knowledge;

1.1.3.3 When it is directly related to a criminal investigation, prosecution, trial or execution of judgments;

1.1.3.4 In order to protect vital legitimate interests of you or of other individuals, such as right of life, property, and reputation, while it’s hardly to obtain the consent of the individual;

1.1.3.5 When the personal information is disclosed to the public by yourself;

1.1.3.6 When the personal information is collected from legally publicly disclosed information, such as legitimate news reports, government information disclosure, etc.;

1.1.3.7 When it is necessary for entering into and/or performance of a contract to which you are the party;

1.1.3.8 When it is necessary for maintenance of the safe and stable operation of the products or services provided, such as discovering malfunctions and/or troubleshooting of VechainWorld;

1.1.3.9 When it is necessary for legitimate news reporting;

1.1.3.10 Other circumstances as stipulated by laws and regulations.

1.1.4 Please understand that the VeChainWorld services provided by the Foundation are constantly updated and developed. If a service or function update needs to collect your information consequently that is not described in the description above, the Foundation will explain to you the type of information, the scope and the purpose of the information collection by means of page prompts, website/application announcements or other ways, to obtain your consent.

1.2 The information you provide will be used by the Foundation on an ongoing basis during your use of the VeChainWorld service. If you do not agree to the collection of your information by the Foundation, you can contact the Foundation through support@vechain.com in a timely manner to delete the above information.

1.3 When you download or use third-party BlockChain Application through VeChainWorld, third-party BlockChain Application may collect your personal information. If you refuse personal information collection by third-party BlockChain Application while provision of the service, you may be unable to use the third party BlockChain Application. The Foundation does not hold personal information collected by third party BlockChain Application from you.

ARTICLE II. STORAGE OF INFORMATION

The Foundation will store personal information collected in Hong Kong, PRC. If cross-border transmission is required, the Foundation will obtain your consent in advance. You may come from other countries and regions outside Hong Kong. There may be different laws and regulations in your country and region to protect personal information. In this case, the Foundation will ensure that your personal information is equally protected as local users do in Hong Kong.

ARTICLE III. INFORMATION PUBLICATION

3.1 At present, the Foundation will not voluntarily share or transfer your personal information to third parties. If there are other circumstances in which your personal information is to be shared or transferred to third parties, the Foundation will obtain your prior authorization or consent or anonymize your personal information so that it cannot be used to identify a specific person and be recovered either.

3.2 The Foundation will not publicly disclose your personal information. If it is necessary to disclose such information publicly, the Foundation will inform you of the purpose of such disclosure, type of information disclosed and the sensitive information that may be involved, and obtain your prior express consent.

3.3 You understand that in the following circumstances, the Foundation can share, transfer, or publicly disclose your personal information without your prior consent:

3.3.1 When it is directly related to national security or national defense;

3.3.2 When it is directly related to public safety, public health, or major public interests;

3.3.3 When it is directly related to a criminal investigation, prosecution, trial or execution of judgments;

3.3.4 When it is for protecting vital legitimate interests of you or of other individuals, such as right of life, property, and reputation, while it’s hardly to obtain the consent of the individual;

3.3.5 When the personal information is disclosed to the public by yourself;

3.3.6 When the personal information is collected from legally publicly disclosed information, such as legitimate news reports, government information disclosure, etc.

ARTICLE IV. HOW THE FOUNDATION MAY USE INFORMATION

4.1 The Foundation may use the information collected in the course of providing services to you for the following purposes:

4.1.1 Serve you and promote your experience;

4.1.2 Help the Foundation to design new services and improve the existing services of the Foundation;

4.1.3 Make the Foundation more informed of how you use VeChainWorld, thus responding specifically to your individual needs. For example, we will collect user ID, device information, etc. that you provide to process your questions, feedback, complaints and requirements to the Foundation;

4.1.4 Other uses. If the Foundation uses the information for other purposes not specified in this Privacy Policy, or if the information collected for a specific purpose is used for other purposes, the Foundation will notify you and obtain your express consent before using your personal information.

4.2 When you are using VeChainWorld or accepting its services, if the Foundation processes your data in accordance with the following steps:

4.2.1 Anonymize your data;

4.2.2 Mix your data with other data, and/or;

4.2.3 Based on anonymous learning, records, and data, the Foundation has the right to produce models, trends, knowledge, metadata, and other observations (collectively, “Derived Data”. The Derived Data shall consist of anonymized data and shall not contain data that can determine the identity of the user or confirm the identity of other natural persons. Data anonymization refers to the removal of any information in the data that distinguishes users or other natural persons, so that the Foundation or any third person cannot distinguish users or other natural person's method of operation in any part of the retained data in any way.)

You agree hereby that all legal rights in the above Derived Data belong to the Foundation, including economic rights and non-economic rights. The Foundation may use Dericed Data for legitimate business purposes (including but not limited to the development, provision, operation, maintenance and improvement of the Foundation's products and services).

ARTICLE V. HOW TO MANAGE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

In accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore, the Foundation guarantees that you have the following independent control over your personal information in VeChainWorld:

5.1 Access Personal Information. You can access basic information such as profile picture, name, user ID, gender, nation and region, email, etc. by following these steps:

5.1.1 After entering VeChainWorld website, click on the user profile picture;

5.1.2 Click on “Personal Center”;

5.1.3 Access your information.

5.2 Delete Personal Information. You can delete basic information such as profile picture, name, etc. by following these steps:

5.2.1 After entering VeChainWorld website, click on the user profile picture;

5.2.2 Click on “Personal Center”;

5.2.3 Click on “Edit Information";

5.2.4 Delete the information.

5.3 Modify Personal Information. You can modify the basic information such as profile picture, gender, nation and region, email, etc. by following these steps:

5.3.1 After entering VeChainWorld website, click on the user profile picture;

5.3.2 Click on "Personal Center";

5.3.3 Click on "Edit Information";

5.3.4 Modify the information.

5.4 Cancel Account. You can cancel your account of VeChainWorld by following these steps:

5.4.1 After entering VeChainWorld website, click on the user picture profile;

5.4.2 Click on "Personal Center";

5.4.3 Click on "Edit Information";

5.4.4 Click on "Cancel Account".

Please note that the cancellation of the account is irrevocable. Once the account is deleted: a) the user data corresponding to the account, the VeChainWorld operation data will be anonymized or deleted directly; b) the BlockChain Application published by the account will be retained, but the information as the developer will no longer be displayed. ;c) the posting of the account in the forum will be deleted directly.

5.5 You acknowledge that this Privacy Policy will no longer apply when you download or use third party BlockChain Application linked through VeChainWorld. Regarding your control over your personal information on third-party BlockChain Application, the Foundation recommends that you read and understand in detail its privacy rules and related user service agreements before using third-party BlockChain Application.

ARTICLE VI. HOW THE FOUNDATION PROTECTS INFORMATION

6.1 If VeChainWorld ceases to operate, the Foundation will cease its activities in a timely manner which otherwise collect your personal information, notify the cessation of operation on VeChainWorld website, and delete or anonymize the personal information held by you within a reasonable period of time.

6.2 In order to protect your personal information, the Foundation will adopt data security technical measures, improving internal compliance, increasing information security training for internal staff, and setting up secure pass for access to relevant data to protect your private information.

6.3 The Foundation will send you messages about the update of information security rules in the VeChainWorld "Message Center" for your reference.

6.4 In the case of information leakage or other incidents involving information security, the Foundation will promptly inform you in accordance with the requirements of laws and regulations: the basic situation and possible impact of the security incident, the disposal measures that the Foundation has taken or will take, suggestions for self-help prevention and risk reduction, remedies for you, etc. The Foundation will inform you of the incident in a timely manner by email, letter, phone, push notification, etc.

ARTICLE VII. PROTECTION OF MINORS

VeChainWorld and its services are primarily for adults. If you are an individual user, before you use VeChainWorld and its related services and/or begin the registration process, you confirm that you must be at least 18 years of age (or older, depending on the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction) and you should have the capacity for civil conduct that is appropriate to your conduct as required by the laws of your jurisdiction. You acknowledge and agree that if you do not have the aforementioned civil capacity to be appropriate to your conduct, you and your guardian shall bear all consequences resulting in accordance with the law, and the Foundation shall have the right to claim against you and your guardian.

ARTICLE VIII. CONTACT THE FOUNDATION

When you have other complaints, suggestions and other related issues, please contact the Foundation at support@vechain.com. The Foundation will review the issues as soon as possible and respond within 30 days of verifying your user status.
